Is my membership level being retained?  What are the new tiers?

We have made some changes to our membership tiers and added new benefits.

The following tiers are remaining at new price levels:

• Navigator

• Flight Pack

• Airmail 

• Barnstormer

Two new tiers are being added:

• Navigator Plus (ASTC benefit)

• Flight Pack Plus (ASTC benefit)

Two tiers are being phased out:

• The Innovator tier will be retired.

• The Baron tier has merged with the Navigator tier, and continued free access for one adult and one child can still be enjoyed at the Navigator level.

There will still be a Navigator (1 adult, 1 child) and a Flight Pack tier (up to 4 family members), but those tiers will will no longer qualify for the Passport Program under the new ASTC guidelines. To ensure flexibility and continued access, you will have the opportunity, at your renewal, to:

• Upgrade to Navigator Plus or Flight Pack Plus to opt in to the ASTC Passport Program for an additional fee, or

• Renew at the standard tier and continue enjoying all core membership benefits at the College Park Aviation Museum

How can I keep my ASTC Passport Program benefits?

The Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) is updating its pricing structure, and starting January 1, 2026, only membership tiers that meet the new pricing threshold will include the ASTC Passport Program benefit.

To keep your ASTC Passport Program benefits, you will have the opportunity, at your renewal, to upgrade to

• Navigator Plus

• Flight Pack Plus​

• ​Airmail

• Barnstormer

• Any of our corporate membership tiers

Alternatively, you can renew before January 1, 2026, to keep your current benefits, including ASTC access, through your expiration date.

When will the changes go into effect?

The new membership tiers, pricing, and benefits will go into effect January 1, 2026. All current memberships will be grandfathered in, where members will keep the benefits they purchased until their renewal date, at which point they can renew at one of the updated tiers. You can renew at a new level after January 1, 2026.

How can I use my $15 free ticket?

Members may apply their tickets for a discount of up to $15 on any admission ticket. If the selected ticket costs less than $15, no remaining credit will be carried over. For tickets priced above $15, members will receive a $15 discount and pay only the remaining balance.

• Example 1: A Flight Pack member receives one event ticket and chooses to use it for the Santa Fly In, which costs $10. Their free ticket is fully used, and no remaining $5 credit carries over to another purchase.

• Example 2: A Flight Pack member receives one event ticket and chooses to use it for the Drone Workshop, which costs $50. Their free ticket is applied as a $15 discount, and they will pay the remaining $35 as outlined below.

I see that walk-in admission is free in 2026 with the 250th Pastport program, but I thought free admission was a special membership perk?

During 2026, all general admission guests are free. Because we value our members' loyalty and support, we want to provide you with good value. Since free admission is not an exclusive perk for Field of Firsts members this year, those who joined in 2025 will be prorated for the months covered in 2026. Your current membership will be prorated for the remaining months of 2026. In addition, when you renew, the renewal term will also be prorated for the months that fall within 2026.

Example 1: 

• A membership starting March 1, 2025, would normally expire March 1, 2026. 

• When you renew or upgrade to the new membership tiers on March 1, 2026, you will receive: 

• 2 extra months to cover your current membership during the PastPort cycle (January 1–March 1, 2026) 

• 10 extra months to cover your new membership during the PastPort cycle (March 1, 2026–January 1, 2027) 

• Your new expiration date will be March 1, 2028.

Example 2: 

• A membership starting July 15, 2025, would normally expire July 15, 2026. 

• When you renew or upgrade to the new membership tiers on July 15, 2026, you will receive: 

• 6 extra months to cover your current membership during the PastPort cycle (January 15–July 15, 2026) 

• 6 extra months to cover your new membership during the PastPort cycle (July 15, 2026–January 15, 2027) 

• Your new expiration date will be July 15, 2028.
