In May 2025, the Washington Commanders’ newest player Jonathan Jones flew into College Park Airport, the world’s oldest continuously operating airport.

He met with fans and had a sneak peek at the museum’s upcoming exhibition, Columbia Air Center – Determined to Fly.

This exhibition tells the history of Columbia Air Center, the nation’s first licensed Black-owned and operated airport. The proceeds of this auction go to supporting this exhibition of unique, local African American aviation history.
